Synopsis:Vikram is a film maker and is in search of a subject. He travels to the place of his childhood friend to whom he has not met for last twenty years. During his journey he remembers his childhood memories which revolves around a video parlour based in his hometown. He grew up with the parlour and had a lasting memory of joy and sorrow with the parlour owner and his daughter.His memories of success and failure, love and insult and his understanding of his friend’s amazing life gets him closer to the subject.

About Director

Video Parlour is Prasad’s second feature film as a director. His debut feature film is Rangaa
Rangaa Patangaa is the winner of ‘SantTukaram’ Best International Marathi Film Award for the
film and Best Director award to Prasad at Pune International Film Festival 2016. It has also won
the Best Rural Film and Best Director awards at 53 rd Maharashtra State Awards 2016. Prasad has
also been awarded as Best Debut Director at Sanskruti Kala Darpan Awards 2016 and Best
Director and Best Screenplay Writer at Chitra Padarpan Awards 2017. Rangaa Patangaa has
been selected for 16 th River to River Florence Indian Film Festival 2016.
As a writer, he has to his account three Marathi feature films – Kapus Kondyachi Goshta, High
Way Touch Gunthamantri and Sa-Frame. He has received Best Story Award for Kapus Kondyachi
Goshta at Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival 2014. He has directed short films, off
which Kaanch Ke Bartan, Racelessness and Breaking Views have been acclaimed in different
short film festivals.
Prasad is a PhD. in Mass Media. He has completed his post-graduation in Communication
Studies from University of Pune. He has to his credit a Maharashtra State Government Literary
award winning book viz: Short Cut and a translated book Pandepuran.
