About Director:Adoor Gopalkrishnan is one of the most celebrated figures of Indian cinema. With a few other pioneers, he is widely reckoned to have revolutionized Malayalam cinema in the 1970s after passing out of Film and Television Institute, Pune. He has been conferred India’s second highest civilian honor the ‘Padma Vibhushan’ as well as India’s highest award in cinema, the ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Award’. The Government of France conferred the ‘Order of Letters and Arts’ on him in 2003. Gopalkrishnan’s films have won the National Film Awards sixteen times and Kerala Film Awards seventeen times. Some of his important films are Swayamvaram, Kodiyettam, Elippathayam, Mukhamukham, Anantaram, Mathilukal, Vidheyan, Kathapurushan, Nizhalkkuthu and Naalu Pennungal.
