Adoor Gopalakrishnan

Adoor Gopalakrishnan is one of the doyens of Indian cinema and his films have won innumerable awards at the National Awards and all over the world. He is credited with revolutionizing Malayalam cinema in the 70’s after passing out of FTII Pune. He has been conferred India’s second highest civilian honor the ‘Padma Vibhushan’ as well as India’s highest award in cinema the ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Award’. The Government of France conferred the ‘Order of Letters and Arts’ on him in 2003. Mr. Gopalkrishnan’s films have won the National Film Awards 16 times and Kerala Film Awards 17 times.
Some of his films are: Swayamvaram, Kodiyettam, Elippathayam, Mukhamukham, Anantaram, Mathilukal, Vidheyan, Kathapurushan, Nizhalkkuthu and Naalu Pennungal.
